Tuition and fee refund standards notice

This HBAI Academy tuition refund notice applies only to Engineering Fundamental, Softlanding, and Foundation.

1. Basic rules

  • HBAI Academy returns refundable tuition and fees within 5 days from the date the refund reason occurs.
  • Refunds are calculated from the tuition and fees already paid.
  • Total instruction hours means all instruction hours during the course period.
  • If a learner withdraws, the calculation uses the instruction time elapsed up to the refund reason date.
  • For remote instruction, the Academy deducts the part already accessed online or saved on a learning device.

2. Refund standards by reason

A. When a learner is isolated from the academy

Enforcement Decree Article 18(2)1 Refund reason date: date of isolation

Calculation.

Tuition and fees already paid - (daily prorated amount of tuition and fees already paid × number of days from the course start date to the day before isolation)

B. When the Academy cannot provide instruction

Enforcement Decree Article 18(2)1-2 and 2 Refund reason date: date instruction becomes unavailable

Calculation.

Tuition and fees already paid - (daily prorated amount of tuition and fees already paid × number of days from the course start date to the day before instruction became unavailable)

C. When a learner withdraws voluntarily

Enforcement Decree Article 18(2)3 Refund reason date: withdrawal date

C-1. Course period of one month or less

C-2. Course period longer than one month

After the course starts The refundable amount for the month in which the refund reason occurs, plus the full amount for the remaining months

The refundable amount for that month means the amount calculated under the one-month-or-less standard above.

3. Posting statement

Under Article 15(3) of the Act on the Establishment and Operation of Private Teaching Institutes and Extracurricular Lessons, HBAI Academy posts the refund standards for tuition and fees as stated above.
